Governance
Created in public. Governed by the community. Owned by no vendor.
Every SchemaFirst standard is governed by its own board of practitioners. The board decides what the standard says: which fields exist, what they mean, and what changes from one version to the next. Those decisions are published in the open, and every compatible AI system reads them.
That work shouldn't be left to vendors. It should be done by the people who live with the results.

Who should serve
- Brand and creative leaders who keep a brand consistent across every channel and tool
- Marketing ops, RevOps, and data leaders who own the definitions everyone else depends on
- Engineers building the agents and integrations that consume them
How selection works
- 1Nominate someone, or yourself.
- 2Maintainers contact each nominee to confirm they want to serve and to ask about conflicts of interest.
